The Full Story

Weaving Life into
Fiction.

"I write because the world is too loud, and sometimes, the only way to make sense of the noise is to turn it into a story."

Roots in Rhythm

Growing up in Lagos is an education in contrast. It is a city of aggressive ambition and tender communal quiet. My journey as a storyteller began not in a library, but in the backseat of a yellow Danfo bus, listening to the symphony of conductors, hawkers, and passengers.

I was always the observer. The child who sat in the corner at family parties, watching the way an aunt’s laughter didn't quite reach her eyes, or how a cousin's swagger hid a deep insecurity. I learned early that everyone is carrying a story they are desperate to tell, if only someone would listen.

Writing became my way of listening. It started with scribbled poems on the back of receipts and evolved into short stories stored in password-protected folders. I wanted to capture the texture of Nigerian life—not just the struggle, but the joy, the romance, the stubborn hope that refuses to die.

Charm is the paint."

The Corporate Creative

There is a myth that to be an artist, one must suffer in poverty or live entirely in the clouds. My reality is different. By day, I navigate the corporate world—spreadsheets, strategy meetings, and KPIs. By night, I unravel the complexities of love and human connection.

This duality fuels my work. The discipline of the corporate world gives structure to my creative chaos. It teaches me about ambition, power dynamics, and the masks people wear to survive. My characters often inhabit these same spaces; they are professionals who have it all together on LinkedIn but are falling apart in their living rooms.

My Creative Philosophy

I believe in "Messy Beauty." Life is rarely neat. Love is rarely simple. I write to explore the grey areas. I am not interested in perfect heroes or irredeemable villains. I am interested in humans—flawed, trying, failing, and loving anyway.
